Water treatment method for obtaining process water from raw water using reverse osmosis, comprises carrying out first reverse osmosis step for obtaining water, adding the accumulated first raw water concentrate to a first precipitant, conducting the first raw water concentrate, which is added to the first precipitant, in a flowing manner within a first pipe system for a defined retention time and at a defined pressure greater than atmospheric pressure during the termination of the precipitation reaction, separating a first precipitation product obtained during the precipitation reaction from a second raw water concentrate formed from the first raw water concentrate through the precipitation reaction, and subjecting the second raw water concentrate to reverse osmosis step. An independent claim is also included for a water treatment device (10) for obtaining process water from raw water by a reverse osmosis unit (14) comprising a first reverse osmosis device connected downstream to a first precipitation device, which comprises a feeding device (24) for combining a first raw water concentrate stream resulting in the first reverse osmosis unit with the first precipitant and a first pipe line system downstream to the feeding device, where (a) the first raw water concentrate mixed with the first precipitant is passed through the first pipe line system, (b) the first precipitation device exhibits a separating device, preferably the device for membrane filtration for separating the first precipitation product from second raw water concentrate, which is resulting from the first raw water concentrate in the precipitation reaction.
