The drive system (1) has a frame (7) with two side pieces (8), a rear wheel (5) pivoted between the two side pieces by a rear wheel shaft (6), and a belt pulley (3,9) firmly coupled with the rear wheel shaft. One of the side pieces is arranged between the belt pulley and the rear wheel in order to hold the rear wheel shaft. An independent claim is also included for a rear wheel arrangement for a two-wheeler.
