Removing impurities continuously from process water to be purified, comprises leading the process water into a chamber having an anode and a cathode, and inserting a separator between the cathode and anode, which divides the chamber
Removing impurities (An -, Cat +) continuously from process water to be purified, comprises (i) leading the process water to be purified into a chamber having an anode (2) and a cathode (4), and (ii) inserting a separator (5) between the cathode and anode, which divides the chamber into a cathode chamber (3) and an anode chamber (1), or into a cathode chamber, a middle chamber and an anode chamber, where the separator is designed to be porous. Removing impurities (An -, Cat +) continuously from process water to be purified, comprises (i) leading the process water to be purified into a chamber having an anode (2) and a cathode (4), and (ii) inserting a separator (5) between the cathode and anode, which divides the chamber into a cathode chamber (3) and an anode chamber (1), or into a cathode chamber, a middle chamber and an anode chamber, where: (a) the separator is designed to be porous; (b) either the process water to be purified is supplied to the cathode chamber and a conducting rinsing solution is supplied to the anode chamber, so that anionic impurities (An -) from the cathode chamber pass through the porous separator due to an applied potential between the anode and cathode, and are absorbed by the rinsing solution, or the process water to be purified is supplied to the middle chamber and a conducting rinsing solution is supplied to the cathode chamber and the anode chamber each, so that anionic impurities (An -) from the middle chamber pass through the porous separator into the anode chamber, due to an applied potential between the anode and cathode, and are absorbed by the rinsing solution; and (c) either the purified process water from the cathode chamber and the rinsing solution with the absorbed anions from the anode chamber are carried away, or the purified process water from the middle chamber and the rinsing solution with the absorbed anions (An -) from the anode chamber are carried away.
