The projector has a weft tank (20) chargeable with pressurized air. A rotor (11) and the weft tank are arranged in a common rotor housing. A supply tank (15) is arranged in the housing adjacent to the rotor and the weft tank. Two valves are arranged in or at the housing. One of the valves controls a gas volume flow between the supply tank and the weft tank. The other valve controls a cross-section of a weft tank ventilation. The housing has passage openings parallel to a projector longitudinal axis. Each opening has a constant cross-section along the axis.
