The composite glass press comprises upper and lower pressure rollers (21, 22), which provide an interposed compression gap for carrying out lamination of the glass package, and first and second spindle drives arranged on a front side and on corrugated ends of the pressure roller. The upper pressure roller acts such that a pressing pressure is applied in the compression gap during the formulation of the glass package. Each of the spindle drives has a ball screw drive, and a positioning motor with loop torque control to produce a constant pressing pressure coordinated on the glass package.
