The fuse (40) has a housing (41) made of electrically non-conductive material and partially surrounding a fuse link (42) made of metal. The fuse link comprises a broad contact tongue (43) and two narrow contact tongues (44a, 44b), where the broad contact tongue is arranged between the narrow contact regions. The tongues are equally protruded from same side of the housing and extended in a common plane. The fuse link comprises two flat and/or planar melting sections (45a, 45b) that are connected with the broad contact tongue with the narrow contact tongues in an electrically conductive manner. An independent claim is also included for a fuse base plate comprising a slot for flat fuse.
