The circuit device has an induction machine (M') provided in a neutral point circuit, where a neutral point (SP) is coupled with a voltage terminal (A1) by the neutral point circuit. Phase outputs (P1-P3) are coupled with the voltage terminal and another voltage terminal (A1') over an inverter or passive or active rectifier. A switch (S1) enables manufacturing and disrupting of a connection between the neutral point and the former voltage terminal. An energy storage e.g. capacitor, is connected between the voltage terminals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a motor car comprising a circuit device (2) a method for operating the motor car.
