The truck (1) has a person basket (6) moving into an assembly height. The basket is provided with a fixed assembly plate (7). A protection device i.e. grid wall, is detachably mounted at the basket against fall of a person from a building roof. The grid wall includes a gable safety holder, with a fixing device e.g. hook, for fastening to a rafter. A part of the fixing device and the assembly plate are accessible from the basket. The grid wall is inserted on the plate from above so that lowering of the basket pulls releasing of the grid wall from the assembly plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a protection device.
