The clamping device comprises a packaging shell (10), which reduces the remaining packaging in the area of a goods intermediate space (GZR) for an opening aid (11) to certain width at the foil edge. Safety strips (23a,23b) are provided, which are firmly combined on the foil strip (2,3) beside the foil edge. An independent claim is also included for a method for application of a clamping device.
