The shift fork assembly (1) has a shift fork (6) that comprises a selector fork structure (7) and fork shoes (9). A shift fork guide (5) is connected with selector fork structure. The selector fork structure is connected with primary support protrusions (11,12) of fixed ring (15) and secondary support protrusions (13,14) of movable ring (16) in axial direction. The movable ring is resiliently biased with respect to fixed ring so as to provide a press fit of the selector fork structure.
