The spring (10) has fiber layers (6-9) moistened with synthetic resin and arranged alternately one above the other such that the fiber layers with an axial end (FE1) form an axial end (BE1) of the spring and do not obtain another axial end (BE2) of the spring with another axial end (FE2) of the layers. The fiber layers are arranged in an area of a neutral fiber (NF) of the spring, and extend from the former axial end to the latter axial end of the spring. The fiber layers comprise length of 1.4 m and maximum thickness of 0.16 m, where the neutral fiber comprises thickness of 0.08 m. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a plate spring from fiber composite material.
