The generator has permanent magnets (7, 8) arranged in radial alignment against a set of alternating polarity pole pairs in a rotor (4) i.e. dive rotor, that regulates power output. The magnets are connected to a combination of an inner rotor (5) and an outer rotor (6) in a force-fit manner to form a double rotor. Poles of the inner and outer rotors are oppositely polarized. The inner and outer rotors are firmly connected with each other and with a drive shaft (2). A control element changes a position of an axially movable stator (15) to regulate the power output or for braking.
