The vessel (1) has a container portion e.g. pot-shaped container portion (2), enclosed by a closed bottom portion (4) and circulating side walls (5). A lid (3) covers an aperture that is formed by a circulating edge area at the side walls. The edge area and/or a circular edge contour of the lid are provided with depressions in a manner that the edge area is placed in the depression of the edge contour and/or the edge contour is placed in the depression of the edge area. The lid partially closes the aperture by leaving a free space. The lid comprises a gripping section (13) made of elastomer.
