The liquid delivery system has a liquid pump (36) that is provided in a fluid line (19). A resonator (42) is comprise of several chambers (68,70,72,74,76,80) for damping pressure pulsations of liquid along flow direction (32) in the fluid line behind the liquid pump. The resonator is a series resonator that is connected in series with liquid pump in the fluid line.
