The platform (11) has a lifting unit (14) arranged at a base frame (12) and moving a load receiver along up and down direction. An actuation device (30) transfers the base frame with a movable drive element from load receiving position to moving position. The drive element is connected with a load arm (35), which is engaged with the base frame. A sensor element (38) i.e. resistance strain gauge, is positioned at the load arm. The sensor element is utilized for monitoring the load receiving position or the moving position of a chassis frame (24) or overloading of the chassis frame. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring a chassis frame of a mobile lifting platform.
