The system has data lines for transmitting axle position values detected by angle sensors (6,7) to safety controller (2). A determination unit determines the braking distance using axle position values. A comparison unit compares balance between braking distance and spacing between end position and respective axle position. A triggering unit has control line connected with safety controller for providing trip signal for triggering the brake based on comparison result.
