The socket has a housing (11) with a plug recess (12) provided with lateral guiding grooves (13) and a protective conductor contact pin (14) and two apertures (15) with terminals, where an earthing contact (18) is provided near to a side wall (17) of the protective conductor contact pin. Another earthing contact is in contact with the side wall, and faces the former earthing contact. The plug recess for receiving a protective contact is located near to the protective conductor contact pin in the side wall. The plug recess is admitted into the housing that is part of an extension cord.
