The rotor blade (10) has a partition walls (18,20) that are extended in longitudinal direction so as to form a center channel (16). A fan (30) is provided to produce the air flow in center channel, such that air flow direction of center channel is different from air flow direction of a rotor blade nose edge channel (28). A heating device (38) is provided to heat air flow in center channel. An independent claim is included for method for defrosting ice provided on rotor blade of wind energy plant.
