The headrest has a headrest support (110) connected with a compressible displacement body. A foamed body determines outer shape of the headrest and is provided between a cover (120) and the displacement body. The cover comprises an insertion opening (123), where the displacement body is inserted into the opening in a compressed state before formation of the foamed body. The displacement body is connected with headrest support in a decompressed state. The headrest support comprises a u-shaped arc (110B) and a U-shaped transverse web (110C) for retaining the displacement body. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a headrest.
