The rack aligning apparatus has a receptacle for a rack (3), where a stop is arranged on the rack. An object slide, which is arranged in the rack, rests in the vertical end position against the stop. The object carrier forms a counter-stop, where the stop is has similar height as the rack in the vertical end position. An independent claim is also included for a coverslipper for covering of object carriers.
