The internal combustion engine has an engine housing, in which an opening is provided for retaining a staking tool (118). The opening is arranged to guide a guidance such that the staking tool is inserted in the guidance and is engaged in a groove (112) at a front side of a cam shaft (108). The guidance is arranged in the engine housing. An independent claim is also included for a closure element for an internal combustion engine.
