The device has a measuring container (2) comprising a closure element (3) e.g. plate-like rotary valve, at a vertical upwardly arranged aperture and another closure element (4) at a vertical downwardly arranged aperture. A rotatable shaft (5) and an electric motor (12) are provided for actuating the closure elements for sequential opening and closing of the apertures. A sensor (8) for detection of fertilizer discharge is arranged below the vertical downwardly arranged aperture of the container. An acquisition unit is provided for acquisition of run-down time of fertilizer from the container.
