The sensor (2) has a bending strip (4) including an electroactive polymer (8) e.g. ionic polymer-metal-composite, arranged between two electrodes (6). An end (10) of the strip is fixed at a component (12). Another end (14) of the strip is provided in a safety distance (16) to the component when a distance of an object (18) to the component is larger than or equal the safety distance. The electrodes are provided in plan-parallel during contact of the component by the object. A spring element (20) e.g. helical spring, includes a deforming element (24) arranged between the electrodes.
