The device has a sensor actuator module (19) with a sensor module (7) i.e. dry electrode, and a flexible, fluidic actuator (5). The fluidic actuator includes a cylinder, cone-shaped or half-sphere element with a fluid opening. The actuator module is attached at resilient fittings (4), via a cavity element holder. The actuator module is closed with a cover at one end, and the sensor module is provided at the cover. The actuator module rests against a surface of a biological object (17) i.e. hair (18), in a fluidically unloaded state. A detecting unit is made of biocompatible material. An independent claim is also included for a method for adaptively and actively positioning and holding a sensor on or above a surface of a biological object.
