The arrangement (1) has press rolls (2, 3) comprising bearing pins (6, 7) supported at bearing blocks (4, 5), respectively. The blocks are releasably connected with each other by pivotable connectors (8, 9). The connectors are pivoted from an operating position into a maintenance position and vice versa, and have a holding portion (10) held in a recess (11) of one of the blocks in the operating position. The connectors receive traction force arising during pressing and are completely provided within lateral extension of a rolling periphery of one of the rolls in the maintenance position.
