The device has a supporting unit (10) for supporting a jigsaw blade (12) in an operating condition. An adjusting unit (14) has a spring element (16) i.e. compression spring, for adjusting strength of supporting force (F) of the supporting unit. The adjusting unit has a bolt element (18) movably supported against the spring element. The supporting unit has a supporting element (20) formed by a supporting roller (22) and comprising a groove extending over a periphery of the supporting element. An upper side of the blade is guided into the groove. An independent claim is also included for a system comprising a jigsaw.
