The apparatus has several acceleration sensors that are integrated in control unit, for detecting driving conditions of motorcycle (1). An evaluation unit is provided for processing signals sensed by acceleration sensors. The control unit is provided for adjusting the support unit (2) between retracted position and extended position if driving conditions of motorcycle detected by acceleration sensors is in abnormal state. The support unit is provided on both sides of motorcycle. An independent claim is included for motorcycle.
