The device (A) has an electronic data processing system (5) with a memory device (3) for storing operating data i.e. audio-data, assigned to sub-devices (1) e.g. radio or heater. The system operates the sub-devices based on the operating data. An activating and deactivating device (7) has a switching-on and switching-off unit (9), and another memory device (11) is assigned to the switching-on and switching-off unit for storing operating data assigned to the sub-devices and the user. An interface (13) i.e. plug-socket-system, exchanges the data of the latter memory device and the system. An independent claim is also included for a method for automatic adjustment and operation of a device.
