The apparatus has a locking device for bringing an apparatus door into a locking position for preventing opening of the apparatus door during a self-purification process, and an unlocking position. A warning point (26) is viewable in the locking position based on an increased temperature of the apparatus door or a glazing (24) of the door. The warning point is not viewable in the unlocking position. The locking device comprises a pivotably or displaceably arranged latch (16), and an electronic controller controls locking of the apparatus door.
