The device (22) has a retaining assembly (24) for retaining disk-shaped rotor elements (12, 16) that are arranged in a form of a laminated stack. A pressing unit (26) applies defined force on the disk-shaped rotor elements in the retaining assembly during a pressing process, where the disk-shaped rotor elements are screwed with each other by a screw unit (28). The retaining assembly comprises a base plate (32) that is provided with multiple recesses and a mounting pin (34). The pressing unit comprises a stamper (42) that co-operates with a cover plate (44). An independent claim is also included for a method for partial-extensive assembly of a cylindrical rotor of an electromotor.
