The shiftable stepped planetary gear (1) has two ring gears (10,20), which are coupled by planetary wheel in which the outer diameter of the former ring gear is smaller than the inner diameter of the latter ring gear. The former ring gear is partially arranged in the interior of the latter ring gear. A switching element (30) is provided to receive a position, in which it both ring gears are engaged.
