Producing an imitation of antique- and leaded glass made of thermoformable materials, preferably Plexiglas(RTM: Polymethyl methacrylate) by gravity, comprises applying planar material to be deformed thermally on an array of at least a prepared matrix (1) as basic form, heating the material to be deformed by a burner, infrared emitter, or furnace, placing the material in the form, cooling after the deformation, removing from at least one matrix and forming an image of the basic form (1'). Producing an imitation of antique- and leaded glass made of thermoformable materials, preferably Plexiglas(RTM: Polymethyl methacrylate) by gravity comprises applying planar material thermally to be deformed on an array of at least a prepared matrix (1) as basic form, where the material is arranged flat in a plane next to each other and/or tilted to each other with more than one matrix, heating the material to be deformed by a burner, infrared emitter, or furnace, placing the material in the form, cooling after the deformation, removing from at least one matrix and forming an image of the basic form (1'). An independent claim is also included for a device for producing the imitation of antique- and leaded glass comprising at least one matrix arranged on a support assembly (3), where the matrices are arranged flat in a plane next to each other with more than one matrix.
