The vehicle (1) has an electrical connector (2) arranged behind a number plate, where the number plate is adjustable from a normal position to a release position, in which the electrical connector is released. An articulated kinematic mechanism (4) couples the number plate and the electrical connector, and adjusts the electrical connector in an easily accessible position if the number plate is adjusted in the release position. The kinematic mechanism is spring-loaded to facilitate adjustment. The number plate is connected with a stiffener plate (3), which forms a component of the mechanism.
