The sleeve has a gel chamber with cable openings (21, 22) for receiving a cable connection and/or a cable branch. A reservoir receives a portion of gel during assembling the sleeve at a location other than the cable openings exiting from the gel chamber. The reservoir is partially extended adjacent to the gel chamber. The reservoir opens into reservoir chambers (28, 29) of the sleeve. The gel chamber is constructed from two chamber shells (6, 7), which are connected over a film hinge (5). The reservoir is arranged in a region of the hinge.
