Method for digitally controlling voltage converter by frequency adjustable pulse width modulation of microcontroller, involves utilizing pulse/period combination as control variable up to alteration of nearest reference value
The method involves computing a target duty factor from a given reference value, and computing pulse/period combinations, which represent duty factors. One of the pulse/period combinations is selected from finite number of pulse/period combinations whose duty factor has smallest deviation. The pulse/period combination is used as a control variable up to alteration of the nearest reference value. The reference value is computed from relevant output of a voltage converter, and the reference value is assigned as one pulse duration.
