The multi-circuit electrohydraulic motor vehicle brake system (1) comprises multiple brake calipers (2,3,4,5) with hydraulically operated actuators, which are organized into multiple hydraulic brake circuits. An electronically controlled unit (6) is provided, which comprises an electronic unit (ECU) and a hydraulic unit (HCU). Sensors (S1,S2,S3) are arranged in the motor vehicle for detection of different physical parameters of the vehicle or vehicle components. The sensors acquire and output the calibrated information of the residual brake torque of the vehicle brake system. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a multi-circuit electrohydraulic motor vehicle brake system.
