Producing minimum crosslinked silicic acid structures in a polymer matrix, comprises producing silicon dioxide sol in a solvent, preparing solution of a polymer in a solvent, and homogeneously mixing the solution and the sol
Producing minimum crosslinked silicic acid structures in a polymer matrix, comprises (a) producing silicon dioxide sol in a solvent, where the sol particles exhibit a size of 0.5-4 nm, and adjusting the pH to 6-8; (b) preparing a solution of a polymer in a solvent, and adjusting the pH to 6-8; and (c) homogeneously mixing the solution and the sol. An independent claim is also included for a bio-material comprising a hydrogel, which is composed of silicon dioxide polyhedral structures exhibiting a size of 0.5-4 nm, and a water soluble polymer, where the polymer and silicon dioxide polyhedral structures are homogeneously distributed. ACTIVITY : Vulnerary. No biological data given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
