The assembly (10) has connecting flanges (18, 20) formed by flange parts (22-28) with respective lateral open pipe receiving units (30) that are used for receiving exhaust tubes (12, 14). Screws (48) penetrate the flanges over respective passage openings. The exhaust tubes are connected over the flanges by using the screws. Circular/conical pipe regions (34, 36) are formed in axial directions (38) of the exhaust tubes. The receiving units are supported in axial direction one of the pipe regions.
