The device has a layer made of sound-insulating material and arranged on bottom of a part of a prefabricated staircase, where the part rests at a building. The device is designed as a plastic mold-part (3) that surrounds an edge and a corner region of the staircase at mutually orthogonal sides. The mold-part is connectable with the staircase via an adhesive connection and made of polyurethane or polyolefin such polyethylene or polypropylene. The mold-part exhibits recesses (10) at orthogonal surfaces (11-13) between connection pieces (14) that are formed with reduced wall thickness.
