The method involves exposing one or more subjects to stimulus craving e.g. sensory stimulus and situational stimulus. Reactions of the subjects on the stimulus craving are determined with respect to different dosages of anti-craving substance (ACS) and without the ACS. Physiological measurements i.e. skin resistance measurement, and external and internal reviews of the craving are determined, where strength of the reactions covers entire review/measuring range. Determination results of the craving with and without the ACS are compared to determine strength of attenuation of craving. The subjects are selected according to a certain characteristic subgroup that is selected by gender, age, history, social origin or type of drinker.
