The device has inlet port (4) for water supply line, and water tank (8) which is connected via solenoid valve (5) with inlet port, and into which water flows through water inlet opening (11). A level measuring unit (12) arranged in tank determines minimum and maximum filling levels, to control solenoid valve. The inlet opening is positioned such that free air gap (S) is formed between inlet opening and maximum filling level. A downstream pump (17) is connected to outlet port (19) which is connected to water carrying line of sanitary installation, via which pump pumps the water from tank.
