The wind energy plant has foundation mounted with tower (16). A nacelle has machine housing with generator assembly and rotor shaft. The housing has two separable detachably interconnectable housing portions (24,30) which surround mutually facing end portions of tower when housing portions are connected to each other. Each housing portion has own rotor shaft with separate rotor. Each rotor has two diametrically opposed wings (32,34). A lifting device (40) connected to housing via bearing conversely moves the housing at a lower position on the tower to a specified final height.
