The method involves moving two non-triggerable sensors (1, 2) and a reference sensor (3) in a defined motion relative to a calibrating object. The calibrating object is detected by the non-triggerable sensors and the reference sensor based on sensor measuring data and reference sensor measuring data. Input time point of the sensor measuring data is detected in a data processing unit (5). Sensor recording time point of the sensor data is determined from time difference between the input point and a reference sensor recording time point of the reference data. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing a method for calibrating sensors.
