The thermoplastic molded component (1) has plastic plug sockets (2,3) and annular lip seals (5,6) extending over the inner circumference of the socket. The lip seal which opposes the axial direction of the socket is formed as a slope. The lip seal is formed of elastomer on the outer periphery of the annular base portion connected with the inner periphery of the socket. An independent claim is included for pipe joint assembly.
