The component has an amorphous carbon layer (8) that is provided as a piezoresistive coating layer on the load-absorbing component main portion. The resistance change of the piezoresistive coating layer is measured through electrical contact portions (10,13). The thickness and hardness of the amorphous carbon layer are set to predetermined ranges. An independent claim is included for string instrument.
