The actuating device has an adjusting shaft (12) that is rotated around a rotational axis and a transmission device that is coupled with the adjusting shaft by a shaft-hub-connector (10). The compression ratio is variably adjusted by rotating the adjusting shaft around the rotational axis through the transmission device. The shaft-hub-connector has a pair of elastic force transmission elements (22), over which the adjusting shaft and the transmission device are coupled with each other in circumferential direction of the adjusting shaft.
