The method involves making a composite body as a two piece, with two bodies (1), where the composite body forms a cavity by a material-deforming tool. The two bodies are provided with a layer in each case (2), where the layer is formed by deposition on a cavity side upper surface. The layer smoothen the two bodies (3). The layer on the two bodied are smoothened in the micrometer range. Another layer of the bodies is formed as a diamond layer on the basis of carbon. An independent claim is also included for a material-deforming tool with a body having a shaping profile and a positive contour.
