Device, useful for producing carbon monoxide from gaseous mixture of carbon dioxide and hydrogen, comprises metal electrodes directly arranged in reactor housing, discharge leader arranged between electrodes, and discharge line
The device comprises two metal electrodes (1, 2) directly arranged in a reactor housing (3) and opposite to each other at a distance of a few millimeters, a discharge leader (5) arranged between the electrodes, and a discharge line (8) arranged in the discharge leader for targeted introduction of a gas mixture of carbon dioxide and hydrogen and for discharging the reaction products such as carbon monoxide, water, residual carbon dioxide and hydrogen through a reactor wall of the reactor housing. A ceramic coat is provided for a specific gas inlet. The device comprises two metal electrodes (1, 2) directly arranged in a reactor housing (3) and opposite to each other at a distance of a few millimeters, a discharge leader (5) arranged between the electrodes, and a discharge line (8) arranged in the discharge leader for targeted introduction of a gas mixture of carbon dioxide and hydrogen and for discharging the reaction products such as carbon monoxide, water, residual carbon dioxide and hydrogen through a reactor wall of the reactor housing. A ceramic coat is provided for a specific gas inlet. The discharge leader is offset by magnetic or electrostatic deflection elements to increase the discharge zone and minimize erosion in rotation. The electrode ends are pointed and/or spherically formed. Further reactors are interconnected to a battery by a control unit. An independent claim is included for a method of producing carbon monoxide from a gaseous mixture of carbon dioxide and hydrogen.
