The radiation detector (1) has multiple liquid-filled ionization chambers (2) arranged in a plane. The ionization chambers are arranged in a regular manner one above the other and side by side in lines (4,5) and columns (3,6). Two areas are formed, where the ionization chambers are arranged at different distances from each other. The ionization chambers have a narrow spacing along the axes of symmetry (7).
