The method involves performing heat dissipation process with respect to the interior space (26) of the motor vehicle (10) by the flow of coolant from an electric drive unit (14) used for supplying driving power to the motor vehicle. The coolant from the electric drive unit is supplied to a heat exchanger (24), for dissipating heat by the operation of heat exchanger. The heat requirement of the interior space of the motor vehicle is set according to the temperature of the heat exchanger. An independent claim is included for heat exchange unit for heating interior of motor vehicle.
